Frequentis in Vienna is seeking an Embedded Hardware Test Engineer to test and integrate Frequentis embedded hardware and software, and third-party components. You will act as the interface between project management, hardware development, and software development to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role includes troubleshooting, test-case design, and documentation in German and English. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong Linux and scripting skills,

Qualifikationen

• Degree in embedded systems, electrical engineering, electronics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills with analytical thinking and collaboration.
• Keen interest in scripting, embedded hardware/software with focus on Linux, hands-on hardware work including reading diagrams, soldering, measurements.
• Fluency in German and English; ability to review/create/maintain technical docs in both languages.

Aufgaben

• Test and integrate Frequentis embedded hardware and software, and third-party components.
• Interface between project management, hardware, and software development to meet timelines and budgets.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis with system reviews, diagrams, and occasional code exploration; develop small test programs and use oscilloscopes.
• Design and execute test cases to verify functionality, compatibility, and reliability of components.
• Set up and configure test environments to validate system requirements.
• Document solutions, findings, and expertise using Jira, Jama, and Confluence.
• Contribute to reviews and improve quality, maintainability, and test coverage.
• Be part of the Hardware Team and support colleagues across teams.
