Job summary

INNIO's Microgrid Solutions Team in Austria is seeking a motivated intern to support software development and validation for the control system. The role offers an international environment, flexible hours, and a strong emphasis on learning.

You will build a Python/MATLAB model library, assist with CI and automated tests, and tailor the work to your background in electrical engineering or related fields. The position starts January 2027 and requires legal right to work in Austria, with a monthly

• Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related fields.
• Educational background and passion for software development (Python, MATLAB).
• Basic understanding of and interest in power system control.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German or the local language is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in Austria is required.

Job description

The internship is a full-time position for at least 6 months starting in January 2027. The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.698,59 gross per month (x 14).
