Job summary

INNIO is seeking an Intern in Product Cost Management to gain hands-on experience in analyzing and optimizing product costs. You will work with engineering, operations, finance, and commercial teams to drive cost improvements and competitiveness.

The role offers flextime and home office options based on policy, and a six‑month commitment with possible extension to 12 months. A base monthly salary is based on Austria's minimum wage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or in a technical field (e.g., industrial engineering, mechanical, electrical or process engineering).
• First project management experience is desired.
• High motivation and ability to work independently.
• Clear and precise communication style in a diverse, international environment.
• Very good MS-Office and analytic skills.
• Fluent in English; German or other languages are a plus.
• Valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply methods to improve product costs of components/systems (ABC, value, should costing, target costing).
• Deep dive on specific components and compare technical and cost features.
• Gather ideas with product cost impact from multiple functions and prioritize them.
• Support and lead cross‑functional initiatives under a mentor.
• Assist with administrative activities within Product Line Management.
