HR Specialist– Automotive & Mobility – Vienna
Our client is part of a publicly listed international group operating across the automotive and mobility sectors. With a strong presence across multiple markets, the company specializes in automotive distribution, services, and related commercial operations. As part of its continued European expansion, the group is currently establishing its operations in Austria and building a local team to support long-term growth.
About the role:
We are looking for an HR Specialist to support the day-to-day HR activities of the Austrian organization.
Working closely with the local management team and the HR team in Israel, you will take ownership of a broad range of HR administration and operational topics, ensuring that employees have the necessary support and that local HR processes are handled accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role that combines employee administration, onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, HR documentation, policy administration, and general HR support. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys a broad scope of responsibilities and wants to develop further across different areas of HR.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee documentation.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including contracts, required documentation, policies, and other administrative requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate employment contracts, amendments, and other HR-related documents.
- Ensure employees complete and sign all required company policies and documentation.
- Coordinate with external payroll providers and provide all necessary employee and payroll information.
- Act as a local point of contact for employees regarding HR-related administrative questions and topics.
- Support the implementation and administration of local HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR processes and documentation are aligned with Austrian labour law and applicable employment regulations.
- Coordinate with the HR team in Israel on local HR topics, processes, and requirements.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and company policies, including company car-related processes.
- Follow up with external partners, recruitment agencies, and other service providers on outstanding HR-related topics.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR information is handled accurately and confidentially.
- Support additional HR projects and operational initiatives as the Austrian organization continues to grow.
Requirements:
- MUST: 2+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, HR Generalist, or a similar HR role.
- MUST: Native or fluent German and professional working proficiency in English.
- MUST: Automotive industry experience
- Good knowledge of Austrian labour law and local employment regulations.
- Experience with employee onboarding, employment contracts, HR documentation, and personnel administration.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and experience working with external payroll providers.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with a high level of discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with employees and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
