Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Head of Edible Nuts to lead the edible-nuts business unit across Europe and the UK. You will own P&L, shape the commercial strategy and drive growth while managing a trading team.

The role requires deep experience in physical edible-nuts trading, strong leadership, and a willingness to relocate to Vienna with relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in physical edible-nuts trading across European markets.
• Proven track record in developing trading activities and profitable business.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams and P&L responsibility.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and commercially driven mindset.
• Located or willing to relocate to Vienna; relocation assistance provided.

• Lead and develop the edible-nuts business unit, taking full responsibility for P&L performance, commercial strategy and growth across Europe and the UK.
• Actively manage physical trading across almonds, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts and other edible nuts.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships, identifying new trading opportunities and expanding market presence.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team in a high-performance environment.
• Drive expansion through new customers, increased trading volumes and partnerships, overseeing pricing, procurement, inventory and risk.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global agriculture trading house looking to hire a Head of Edible Nuts to join their team.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Lead and develop the edible-nuts business unit, taking full responsibility for P&L performance, commercial strategy and business growth across Europe and the UK.
• Actively manage physical trading activities across almonds, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts and other edible nuts, leading by example through direct commercial involvement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships, identifying new trading opportunities and expanding the market presence.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team fostering a commercially driven and high-performance environment.
• Drive business expansion through new customer acquisition, increased trading volumes and strategic partnerships, while overseeing pricing, procurement, inventory and commercial risk.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 10+ years of experience in physical edible-nuts trading, with strong market knowledge across almonds, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts and related agricultural commodities.
• Proven commercial track record in developing trading activities, managing customer relationships and generating profitable business across European markets.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams, overseeing commercial operations and taking responsibility for P&L performance.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and commercially driven mindset, to lead the business through its next phase of growth.
• Located or willing to relocate to Vienna at least for the first couple of years. Relocation assistance is provided.
