Job summary

DO & CO is seeking a Head Chef for Indian cuisine in Vienna's luxury airline catering production kitchen. You will lead a skilled Indian kitchen team, design authentic and innovative menus, and uphold exceptional quality and presentation for discerning clients.

You will oversee inventory and purchasing, train staff, and maintain strict food safety standards while traveling to international events as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in high-end operations cooking Indian cuisine.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian ingredients, techniques, and flavours.
• Experience in managing a team of kitchen staff.
• Ability to create and develop menus that showcase both traditional and innovative Indian cuisine.
• Excellent communication in English – Hindi/Indian language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff to ensure highest quality dishes.
• Manage stock and ordering supplies, including authentic Indian ingredients.
• Continually review and improve processes for efficiency and quality.
• Ensure timely delivery of food with top quality and consistency.
• Train and mentor chefs and kitchen staff in Indian techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and high food-safety standards.
• Travel to international events (Formula 1, UEFA Champions League Final, ATP Madrid, etc.).
