Mercor is seeking a native Gujarati speaker to annotate and transcribe Gujarati documents with high accuracy. You will handle multi-column pages, handwritten forms, and diverse layouts, ensuring precise reading order and correct component typing.

The role emphasizes character-level accuracy and systematic taxonomy, with peer reviews by a second Gujarati expert to maintain quality across hundreds of pages.

Qualifikationen

• Native Gujarati speaker with full command of script, diacritics and conjunct forms.
• Experience with documents: annotation, transcription, localization, proofreading or data review.

Aufgaben

• Open and check a task: pages are provided, you do not source documents.
• Identify and bound every meaningful region and assign a component type and reading order.
• Record relationships: link regions to their parent figure/table.
• Transcribe faithfully: reproduce Gujarati text exactly, including handwritten content.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, flags for tables, formulas and handwriting.
• Review a colleague's work: second Gujarati expert reviews each task.
