Zusammenfassung

Mercor is seeking a meticulous Japanese annotation specialist to help build training data for Japanese documents and related scripts. You will identify and bound each meaningful region on a page and assign component types and reading-order indices, ensuring exact transcription of kanji, kana, furigana and handwritten content.

You will verify pages, capture metadata, and participate in peer reviews to uphold high accuracy.

Qualifikationen

• Native Japanese speaker with full kanji, hiragana and katakana mastery.
• Experience in interpretation, transcription, translation, editorial work or related document-intensive tasks.
• Exact, character-level accuracy with consistent taxonomy across documents.

Aufgaben

• Open and verify tasks; ensure pages are in Japanese, legible, and contain content.
• Annotate structure by bounding regions and assigning types and reading-order indices.
• Record relationships between regions and parent components (figures/tables).
• Transcribe faithfully, including kanji, kana, furigana and handwritten content.
• Capture page metadata (language, document type, source, dimensions, handwriting flags).
• Review colleague work to ensure high-quality output.
