ALDI International is seeking a senior analytics professional to own and advance the global framework for store performance. You will analyse large portfolios, identify patterns and drivers, and work with Finance and Operations to convert findings into actionable improvements.

You will build benchmarks, run advanced analyses, and craft narratives with Power BI and SAP. Strong English and retail analytics background are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in controlling, FP&A, analytics or performance management in retail or similar networks.
• University degree in business, finance, economics, analytics or data science.
• Track record of analysing large datasets and turning findings into recommendations.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI (data modelling, Power Query, DAX) and Excel; SAP/SAP BW/S/4HANA experience is valuable.
• Understanding store economics and key retail drivers like sales density, gross margin and labour productivity.
• Ability to distinguish correlation from causation and communicate limitations clearly.
• Comfort working with international stakeholders and balancing global vs. local context.
• Excellent English; German is advantageous but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Own and enhance the global analytical framework for store performance and KPIs.
• Analyse large store portfolios to identify patterns and performance gaps across countries and formats.
• Assess performance at store, cluster, region and country levels and prioritize opportunities.
• Build driver trees and explain variances across sales, gross profit, labour productivity and costs.
• Collaborate with country Finance and Operations to validate findings and translate into actions.
• Develop global benchmarks, peer groups and advanced analyses including ramp-up curves and segmentation.
• Design management-ready performance narratives using Power BI, SAP and other data sources.
• Provide concise, fact-based recommendations to senior stakeholders and contribute to reporting standards.
