ALPLA Werke Alwin Lehner GmbH & Co KG is seeking a Global Mold Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize the internal toolmaking network worldwide. You will shape mold technology, capacity, and lifecycle strategies while coordinating with procurement, operations, sales, and project teams across locations.

The role requires 8–10 years in tooling or mold management, strong leadership, and fluency in English; German is advantageous. Willingness to travel internationally ~40–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in toolmaking, mold manufacturing, or tooling program management in an industrial environment.
• Proven leadership experience in international organizations.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop ALPLA’s global internal toolmaking network.
• Balance mold capacity and demand across internal tool shops and external suppliers.
• Drive improvements in lead times, delivery performance, productivity, and tooling capabilities.
• Develop and execute global mold capacity, technology, and lifecycle strategies.
• Manage tooling costs, budgets, and should-cost models for make-or-buy decisions.
• Contribute to investment decisions and strategic tooling initiatives.
• Collaborate with Solutioning, Sales, Project Management, Operations, and Procurement to deliver tooling solutions.
• Prioritize tooling projects based on business impact and strategic goals.

• Build strong international teams and develop tooling expertise across locations.

What makes you great

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a comparable field.
• 8-10 years of experience in toolmaking, mold manufacturing, or tooling program management within an industrial environment.
• Proven leadership experience in international organizations.
• Strong understanding of injection molding processes, tooling technologies, and mold lifecycle management.
• Excellent combination of technical expertise and commercial acumen.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across functions and cultures.
• Fluent English skills; German is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 40-50%).
