BD is a leading global medical technology company focused on advancing health with cloud-based software for infusion-pump products. The role spans frontend, backend and full-stack work on the BD Cloud Platform, using C#/.NET, React/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.

You will design, implement, and verify features, own user stories, and collaborate with QA to ensure software quality that helps patients in hospitals and at home.

Competenze

• Foundational software development experience through professional work.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (C#, Java, Go, or TypeScript) and ability to learn new languages.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Docker containers, and the basic principles and tradeoffs of service-oriented and monolithic architectures.
• Ability to break down an engineering problem, state assumptions, evaluate possible solutions, and verify results against requirements.
• Understanding of automated testing, code review, debugging, and maintainable software design.
• Ability to use AI-assisted engineering tools effectively: provide clear context and constraints, assess generated code critically, and validate outcomes.
• Ownership of assigned work, attention to quality, and the ability to make progress without continuous direction while recognizing when collaboration or escalation is necessary.
• Clear communication and willingness to contribute beyond a preferred frontend or backend specialization.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain features across new and existing cloud applications, including unit tests that demonstrate expected behavior.
• Own well-scoped user stories from requirements clarification through implementation and development testing, supporting Quality Engineers through final verification and resolving identified defects.
• Identify assumptions, clarify acceptance criteria, and collaborate with Quality Engineers to establish how feature correctness and success will be demonstrated.
• Contribute across frontend, backend, and service integration work, collaborating with teammates and the specialized testing team responsible for automated verification.
• Make proportionate technical decisions that account for correctness, maintainability, security, performance, and testability.
• Use GitHub Copilot and other approved AI-assisted development tools to support implementation, investigation, and testing. Critically evaluate generated solutions and remain accountable for their design and behavior.
• Participate in code reviews, and resolve defects with evidence-based investigation.
• Work with containerized applications and existing Kubernetes and Helm configurations in collaboration with platform teams.
• Adhere to the relevant quality control procedures, development lifecycle, and documentation requirements for medical-product software.
• Communicate progress, uncertainties, and blockers clearly, seeking guidance early when needed.
