Hotel Jagdhof in Austria seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper / Head of Housekeeping to lead the entire department with a focus on leadership, organisation and premium quality. You will guide a dedicated team, maintain luxury standards and collaborate with F&B, Front Office and Engineering to ensure flawless guest experiences.

The role prioritises strategic oversight, staff development and continuous improvement of processes while maintaining a hands-on willingness during peak times.

Qualifications

Experience as Executive Housekeeper or in a comparable upscale hotel role.
Leadership experience or willingness to take responsibility.
Exceptional eye for cleanliness, quality and detail.
Structured, well-organised work approach.
Fluent German with ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Lead and organise the Housekeeping team.
Prepare and coordinate staff schedules.
Plan holidays and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Lead, motivate and train employees.
Conduct regular quality inspections of guest rooms and suites.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in public areas.

For our Housekeeping team, we are looking for an experienced Executive Housekeeper / Head of Housekeeping (m/f/d) who is ready to take responsibility, set clear standards and, at the same time, has a genuine understanding of people.

Cleanliness alone is not enough in a 5-star hotel. It is about attention to detail, organisation, leadership and noticing the little things that ultimately make all the difference.

Your Responsibilities

You will take responsibility for our entire Housekeeping department and, together with your team, ensure that our guests experience the Jagdhof every day exactly as we promise.

Your responsibilities include:

Leading and organising your team
Preparing and coordinating staff schedules
Holiday planning and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
Leading, motivating and training employees
Regular quality inspections of guest rooms and suites
Ensuring our high standards of cleanliness and quality throughout all public areas
Organising and supervising linen, laundry operations and Housekeeping storage areas
Supervising and organising the minibar
Coordinating necessary orders in collaboration with the F&B department
Working closely with Front Office, Engineering and the hotel's other departments
Handling guest requests and complaints professionally, including appropriate internal reporting and documentation
Continuously improving processes and standards within the department

The clear focus of your position is leadership, organisation and quality control.

You will not be expected to clean rooms yourself on a daily basis. At the same time, we are looking for someone who is willing to step in and support the team in exceptional situations when an extra pair of hands is needed.

What We Are Looking For

Ideally, you already have experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Executive Housekeeper or in a comparable position of responsibility within the Housekeeping department of an upscale hotel.

Even more important to us, however, are your personality and the way you work.

You should:

Have experience in Housekeeping within the upscale hotel industry
Have leadership experience or be ready to take on genuine leadership responsibility
Have an exceptional eye for cleanliness, quality and detail
Work in a structured and well-organised manner
Be willing to take responsibility and make decisions
Lead your team with respect, clarity and reliability
Keep an overview even during demanding situations
Enjoy not only maintaining standards, but continuously improving them
Have a good command of German
Be able to communicate confidently in English
