Zusammenfassung

Bybit EU is seeking a senior internal audit leader to shape and execute the multi-year audit strategy. You will engage regulators and the Board, drive a scalable in-house function, and maintain strong governance across finance, IT, operations, and compliance.

You will stay hands-on in key engagements and partner with 2nd line functions to ensure effective controls. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, fluency in German and English, and a track record of building high-performing audit

Qualifikationen

• 12–18 years in internal audit, external audit, or risk/controls; at least 5 years in a senior/leadership role in regulated financial services, fintech, payments, or digital assets.
• Strong knowledge of EU and Austrian regulatory frameworks (MiCA, MiFID II, DORA, AMLD, GDPR) with practical regulators experience (FMA, BaFin).
• CIA or equivalent; additional certifications (CISA, CAMS, CFE, CRISC, ICA) valued.
• Proven team-building; scaled audit function in regulated environments.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English for regulatory engagement and reporting to Board.
• Board/Audit Committee reporting experience; hands-on approach driving quality on audits.
• Comfort operating in a global matrix with cross-regional collaboration.
• Strong project/resource management; managing multiple audits, budgets, and providers.
• Knowledge of crypto, DeFi, Web3 ecosystems and blockchain is strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Define and implement a multi-year internal audit strategy for Bybit EU aligned with risk and growth.
• Serve as primary audit representative to Board/Audit Committee with independent opinions.
• Maintain internal audit charter, policies, and QA framework per IIA standards and local regs.
• Build and lead the EU IA team; hire, coach, and manage performance.
