Job summary

OSCE is seeking an Environmental Affairs Adviser to support the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA). The role focuses on environmental governance, transboundary resource management, and capacity-building, working with OSCE structures, delegations and international partners.

The position requires a second-level university degree in relevant fields, at least five years of international experience, and excellent English drafting abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years (seven years with a relevant first-level degree) of professional experience.
• Professional fluency in English, with excellent communication and drafting skills; knowledge of another OSCE language (Russian) is a plus.
• Familiarity with OSCE regions and security-related environmental issues.
• Experience in developing policy briefs and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support OCEEA’s activities and development, implementation and coordination of projects in environmental governance.
• Provide expert advice on project design, planning and delivery in line with OSCE standards.
• Organise meetings, trainings and conferences and manage partner coordination.
• Establish and maintain external partnerships with international organizations, NGOs and partners.
• Prepare inputs, speeches, statements, and briefing materials for policy dialogue processes.
• Collect and analyse environmental and social data and prepare reports.
