Job summary

Lam Research in Austria is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot advanced software for silicon fabrication equipment. You will ensure seamless integration with hardware and collaborate with a centralized software engineering team across product lines.

The role requires a strong background in object-oriented programming, multithreading, and embedded communication protocols, with opportunities for travel less than 10% and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and FSMs.
• Experience with multithreading and embedded communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Implement new customer requirements and features in our existing application.
• Maintain and enhance existing code base by investigating and resolving problem areas.
• Demonstrate solutions through clear documentation, flowcharts, and well-structured code.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and develop software programs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring for more junior engineers.
• Travel to customer sites as needed (total travel < 10%).
