Job summary

Lam Research in Austria (Villach) is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software that links software with hardware across our centralized software engineering team.

You will implement new customer requirements, maintain code, document solutions, and collaborate in cross-functional teams. Travel to USA, Europe, and Asia will be required at a total of less than 10% of time.

Qualifications

• HTL degree or equivalent is required; relevant professional experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience; or advanced degree with no prior professional experience; or equivalent experience
• Proficient oral and written English communication
• Good knowledge of operating system principles
• Ability to establish relationships in a multicultural environment
• Structured working style with attention to detail
• High initiative, flexibility, and teamwork
• Proficiency in two or more programming languages: C, C#, C++, Java, SmallTalk, Python or other

Responsibilities

• Implement new customer requirements and features in our existing application
• Maintain existing code base and investigate problem areas
• Demonstrate solutions with documentation, flowcharts, and clear code
• Work in cross functional teams across the organization
• Ability to travel within USA, Europe, and Asia (less than 10%)
