DL Remote is recruiting for a Graz-based Embedded Software Engineer (f/m/d) for an innovative IoT scale-up. You will shape core product architecture, maintain Yocto-based Linux builds, and develop hardware-interfacing Python drivers while collaborating with the firmware team.

You will work in a hybrid setup (1 day remote) with relocation and travel covered. Fluent English required; strong hardware curiosity and hands-on Linux expertise preferred. Salary up to €80k gross/year, negotiable.

Qualifikationen

• Strong background in Embedded Linux and Yocto/OpenEmbedded.
• Experience with low-level Python interfacing and driver development.
• Familiarity with electronics and sensor interfacing (ESP32/ Raspberry Pi/ Arduino).
• Proficient English communication and collaborative mindset.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and refine Yocto-based Linux builds to guarantee system stability and modern deployment workflows.
• Create hardware-oriented Python drivers while integrating multiple sensors and low-level communication standards.
• Engage directly with hardware for board bring-up, diagnostics, and system troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and ensure dependable data transfer over various hardware bus interfaces.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to connect low-level hardware with high-level applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for mobility-oriented platforms.
