DL Remote is recruiting for a Graz-based Embedded Software Engineer (f/m/d) for an innovative IoT scale-up. You will shape core product architecture, maintain Yocto-based Linux builds, and develop hardware-interfacing Python drivers while collaborating with the firmware team.

You will work in a hybrid setup (1 day remote) with relocation and travel covered. Fluent English required; strong hardware curiosity and hands-on Linux expertise preferred. Salary up to €80k gross/year, negotiable.

In this position, you will shape core product architecture and system stability by maintaining Yocto-based Linux builds, developing hardware-interfacing Python drivers, and collaborating closely with the firmware engineering team.

We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in Embedded Linux, hands‑on hardware curiosity, strong Python skills for low-level interfacing, and professional, fluent English skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Practical familiarity with electronics, gained either in a professional setting or through hobbyist engineering (such as ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino).
• Proficient Python coding capabilities, specifically focused on low-level communications, driver development, and sensor interfacing.
