Zusammenfassung

AMS-OSRAM in Premstätten, Austria, seeks an experienced AI/Data Engineer to develop and implement AI-driven and data-driven solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. You will analyze new AI use cases with Manufacturing, Engineering and IT, support proof-of-concepts to production, and integrate AI models and data pipelines into production systems.

Candidates should hold a university degree in a relevant field, possess hands-on experience with Kafka, containers, MLOps and Python, and communicate

• University degree in data science, CS, physics or a comparable discipline.
• Professional experience in Data Science, AI Engineering or Data Engineering.
• Industrial environment experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with diverse teams.
• Experience with data-driven applications and AI frameworks.
• Very good English; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Profile description

• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics or a comparable scientific or technical discipline
• Professional experience in Data Science, AI Engineering, Data Engineering or a related technical field, ideally in an industrial environment
• Analytical thinking combined with an independent, structured and team-oriented working style
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and bring different specialist groups together
• Experience in developing and operating data-driven applications or AI solutions in productive environments
• Experience with event streaming, data pipelines and modern data platforms, such as Apache Kafka
• Experience in developing, deploying and orchestrating containerized applications, such as with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Understanding of MLOps, CI/CD and the reliable operation of productive AI applications
• Knowledge of AI agents, agent-based workflows and their integration into business and production processes
• Practical experience with relevant Data Science, Machine Learning or AI frameworks and libraries, such as Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Very good English skills; german skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel occasionally
