ams OSRAM is seeking a data science/AI engineering professional to develop AI-driven solutions for semiconductor manufacturing in Premstätten, Austria. You will analyze new AI use cases with cross-functional teams and integrate AI services into production systems.

The role involves building data platforms, managing pipelines, and applying anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and process optimization techniques across manufacturing lines.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics or a comparable scientific/technical discipline.
• Professional experience in Data Science, AI Engineering, Data Engineering or related field, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Analytical thinking with an independent, structured and team-oriented working style.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and bring different specialist groups together.
• Experience in developing and operating data-driven applications or AI solutions in productive environments, including event streaming and data pipelines.

Who we are looking for

• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics or a comparable scientific or technical discipline
• Professional experience in Data Science, AI Engineering, Data Engineering or a related technical field, ideally in an industrial environment
• Analytical thinking combined with an independent, structured and team-oriented working style
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and bring different specialist groups together
• Experience in developing and operating data-driven applications or AI solutions in productive environmentsExperience with event streaming, data pipelines and modern data platforms, such as Apache Kafka
• Experience in developing, deploying and orchestrating containerized applications, such as with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Understanding of MLOps, CI/CD and the reliable operation of productive AI applications
• Knowledge of AI agents, agent-based workflows and their integration into business and production processes
• Practical experience with relevant Data Science, Machine Learning or AI frameworks and libraries, such as Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Very good English skills; german skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel occasionally
