As a Data Engineer, you are mainly responsible for extracting and processing information from text documents and images (partly AI‑supported). Furthermore, you develop, maintain, and automatize crawlers to access various data sources from the web.
Improve existing and further develop data extraction scripts and processes from documents (mostly PDFs consisting of plain text, tables and diagrams), including text recognition (OCR), AI‑supported natural language processing (NLP) and rule‑based information extraction.
Development of rulesets and algorithms to complete incomplete data sets through rule‑based filling of data gaps or secondary data integration.
Application of computer vision methods to extract information from document images and photos.
Scalable data processing with Kubernetes, Docker and API‑supported data queries.
Provision of APIs, definition of data filters and display rules for our web application ImmAzing®.
Monitoring of control mechanisms and quality assurance, first point of contact for maintenance and bug fixing in your area.
Remuneration will be in accordance with the IT collective agreement, currently at a minimum of EUR 3,267 per month gross, full‑time basis. Overpayment depends on qualification, professional experience and education/training.
