NovaTaste in Salzburg is seeking a data engineer to develop, operate, and optimize scalable data pipelines. You will integrate data from SAP and non-SAP sources and design data models and data products for BI, analytics, AI, and automation.

The role requires 3–5 years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, cloud platform experience, and fluent German and English communication. We offer flexible hours, home-office options, and a modern, international work environment.

Tasks

• Develop, operate, and continuously optimize scalable data pipelines
• Integrate, harmonize, and provide data from SAP and non-SAP systems
• Design and deliver data models and data products for Business Intelligence, Analytics, AI, and Automation
• Further develop our cloud and lakehouse platforms and actively contribute to our data architecture
• Ensure data quality, performance, availability, and monitoring across the entire data value chain
• Collaborate closely with business departments, BI teams, and other stakeholders to implement data-driven solutions

Skills

• Solid knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data integration
• Proven experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline development
• At least 3–5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Cloud Data Platforms
• Strong knowledge of Python, Spark/PySpark, and modern cloud data platforms
• Experience with Azure Databricks, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, or comparable technologies
• Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Good German and English communication skills, both written and spoken

The minimum gross salary for this position is € 3.565,78 per month based on full-time employment (38.5 hours per week). A significant overpayment in line with your qualifications and professional experience is, of course, possible.
