Job summary

Outdooractive seeks an accomplished Managing Director to own the Austrian market, drive growth, and position the company strategically. You will lead sales, marketing and business development, and collaborate with the global structure to scale operations and partnerships.

You will manage a small local team of five, drive budgeting and reporting to HQ, and build strong industry networks while ensuring sustainable, value-driven execution across all initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven success in an entrepreneurial leadership role (CEO/MD or similar).
• Strong expertise in sales, business development, marketing and growth.
• Solid business and financial acumen with KPIs and budgeting.
• Experience in international corporate structures while leading a local market.
• Ownership mindset, hands-on, execution-driven and team-spirited.
• Excellent German and English communication for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Austrian market strategy, revenue, results and growth.
• Play an active role in sales, business development and partnerships.
• Identify and implement new business opportunities and expand partnerships.
• Develop and evolve the organization with focus on performance and scalability.
• Plan, budget, manage finances and report to corporate HQ.
• Collaborate with international structure and cross-functional initiatives.
• Build and maintain a strong local industry network.
• Lead the Austrian team (5 employees).
