Our Audio and Video Competence Centre within Frequentis Hardware & Embedded Technologies ensures reliable audio and video quality across the company’s safety‑critical communication systems, requiring accuracy, thoroughness and solid technical expertise. The scope of work ranges from evaluating new hardware and software technologies to supporting customers with complex audio and video issues across all Frequentis business domains.

Key Tasks

• Selection, evaluation, and qualification of new hardware and software technologies as well as market‑available products (e.g., headsets and audio devices) for use in safety‑critical systems
• Execution of audio and video quality measurements in the Frequentis Audio Lab as part of product and project development
• Support for product teams, projects, and customers in addressing complex audio and video issues across all Frequentis business domains
• Collaboration with suppliers and occasional travel to partners and customers (2–3 times per year)

Key Qualifications

Technical Qualifications

• Completed technical education or degree with a focus on audio and/or video, telecommunications, or a related field
• Experience with IP‑based audio and/or video transmission, including packetization and encoding methods (e.g., SIP, RTP)
• Hands‑on experience with audio/video‑specific test and measurement equipment as well as relevant quality standards
• Basic knowledge of embedded hardware and electronic circuitry
• Advantageous: knowledge in electroacoustics (loudspeakers/microphones) and digital audio/video signal processing
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems

Salary: The remuneration for this position consists of the collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 43,529 gross per year (based on a 38.5‑hour week) plus an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
