Job summary

Badrutt's Palace Hotel AG in Switzerland seeks an Assistant Head of Technical Services to support the Head of Technical Services in managing all technical areas of our property. You will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of infrastructure and stand in when needed.

Key tasks include supervising daily operations, supporting maintenance and projects, coordinating external providers, monitoring costs, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across departments.

Qualifications

• Completed technical training with possible further education in building services engineering or facility management.
• Several years of professional experience in technical services or facility management.
• Experience coordinating employees or small teams; leadership experience is an advantage.
• Broad knowledge of building services, maintenance, energy efficiency, safety, and infrastructure.
• Experience supporting or coordinating maintenance, renovation, or construction projects.
• Structured, hands-on, solution-oriented approach with strong organisation and communication.
• Confident use of digital tools.
• Qualification as Safety Officer (SIBE) and/or KOPAS is required.
• Combination of English, German and Italian skills (2+ languages).

Job description

Your key responsibilities

As Assistant Head of Technical Services, you support the Head of Technical Services in the operational management and ongoing development of all technical areas within our property. You help ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of our infrastructure and assume responsibility for the department in their absence.

• Coordination and supervision of daily technical operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.




• Involvement in the planning and implementation of maintenance, investment, renovation, and construction projects.

• Close collaboration with all departments and contribution to the continuous improvement of technical processes, energy efficiency, and resource management.

What you bring to the job

• Completed technical training, ideally complemented by further education in building services engineering, facility management, or a related discipline.




• Several years of professional experience in technical services or facility management, ideally within the hospitality sector or a similarly complex environment.




• Experience in coordinating employees or small teams; initial leadership experience is an advantage.




• Broad technical knowledge of building services, maintenance, energy efficiency, occupational safety, and technical infrastructure.




• Experience in supporting or coordinating maintenance, renovation, or construction projects.




• A structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach, combined with strong organisational and communication skills.




• Confident use of digital tools.




• A recognised qualification as a Safety Officer (SIBE) and/or Contact Person for Occupational Safety (KOPAS) is required.




• A combination of at least two of the following languages is required: English, German, and Italian.
