Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers inthe automotive industry, we develop, test and industrialize innovative Lithium-Ion Battery packs forhybrid and electric vehicles.
The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz.
Your core responsibilities are:
- Analyze and optimize quality-related processes by identifying automation opportunities using AI and digital technologies
- Develop AI-supported solutions to reduce manual work and improve efficiency in quality operations
- Design and implement automated reporting, dashboards, and data evaluation tools
- Develop and maintain interfaces between quality systems, databases, testing equipment, and other software applications
- Automate data collection, processing, and validation workflows across different systems
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, IT, and Product Development teams to implement digital solutions
- Evaluate and integrate modern AI technologies (e.g. Large Language Models, Copilots, intelligent assistants) to support daily business processes
- Continuously improve existing workflows through automation, scripting, and process digitalization
- Take full ownership of digitalization projects from concept through implementation, driving initiatives independently with a proactive, self-driven, and hands-on mindset
- Conduct training sessions, gather user feedback, and continuously refine developed solutions together with stakeholders and key users to maximize business value
What you need is:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in process automation, digitalization, or software development
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with APIs and system integration is highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of PyQt for desktop application development, including application architecture and event-driven programming
- Basic knowledge of Windows automation via Win32 COM interfaces, ideally with experience automating engineering tools such as Vector CANape using APIs or ASAP3 interfaces
- Basic knowledge of Java for desktop applications, ideally including JavaFX-based UI development
- Experience working with databases (SQL) and data processing
- Knowledge of AI technologies, automation frameworks, or machine learning applications in business processes
- Experience with scripting, workflow automation, or low-code automation platforms is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset
- Proactive, self-driven personality with the ability to independently identify opportunities, prioritize work, and take full ownership of delivering solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
- Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
Our offer for you:
With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 63.000,-
We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
