Job summary

Fluor is seeking an experienced US Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to provide Level 2 support for complex customer inquiries related to US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll. The role requires strong accounting judgment, independent problem solving, and the ability to work with proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.

You'll investigate escalated tickets, review reconciliations, and help customers with tax notices, filing status, and payroll issues.

Qualifications

Demonstrated professional accounting experience, ideally with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US customer accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax support tickets.
Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and accounting transactions.
Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing status questions; payroll questions and troubleshooting.
Communicate technical findings clearly via Zendesk, email-style responses, and scheduled calls.
Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists when needed.
Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
