South Offices is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role demands genuine technical accounting judgment and the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and tax expertise, excellent English communication, and capacity to work across time zones during ET hours.

Qualifications

• Must have professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax and accounting inquiries and customer-facing financial support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Able to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, and processing issues.
• Communicate technical findings via Zendesk, email, and phone support.
• Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Adapt to new internal systems and AI-assisted workflows.
