Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative/Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, or quantitative genetics.
• Proven ability to collaborate across regions and functions.
• Ability to model Bayer values in leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define vision and multi-year strategy for acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and evidence to enable rapid iteration.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, analytics, and automation.
• Lead adoption strategy and embed new practices across crops and regions at scale.
• Own impact narrative and metrics for cycle time, genetic gain, cost, quality, and adoption.
• Provide technical, strategic, and product knowledge to the Capability Center.
• Contribute to Global Breeding strategies and the Long-Range Plan.
• Engage with universities to cultivate future talent for Bayer.
• Connect research acceleration with downstream product and supply decisions.
• Ensure HS&E, Compliance, DEI, and Human Rights are embedded in the Capability Hub.
