dLocal is seeking a Staff Engineer to join the Payments Performance team to optimize payment routing, fraud prevention, and anomaly detection. You will design and scale systems that handle high transaction volumes, achieve better conversion rates, and manage costs while ensuring compliance.

As a Staff Engineer, you will lead architecture, drive technical decisions, and work with cross-functional teams to meet current and future platform needs.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of OO design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is desirable.
• Ability to design scalable, high-performance systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and systems.
• Lead technical architecture and design of Java projects for scalability and performance.
• Create scalable architectures for Java-based apps with future growth in mind.

• Conduct validation and performance tests on the Java environment.
• Generate detailed performance reports and actionable recommendations.
• Perform code reviews to maintain high standards and best practices.
