Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst in Buenos Aires to drive financial planning, forecasting, and intercompany pricing. The role also ensures statutory reporting and robust controls across finance functions.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver insightful reporting, build financial models, and support continuous improvement through BI tools and automation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• 2-3 years of financial planning & analysis in a large global, matrixed organization.
• Proficient with SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion Planning, Power BI, Cognos, Excel, PowerPoint.

Job Description

As Sr Finance Analyst you will be responsible for leading financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and transfer pricing activities to provide accurate and timely financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies and regulations through the reconciliation and reporting of intercompany transactions, while overseeing intercompany billing, credit notes, financial close activities, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the position develops financial models, analyzes profitability, identifies business risks and opportunities, creates key performance reports and dashboards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, optimize financial processes, and drive continuous improvement through advanced analytics and business intelligence tools.

What will you do? (Responsibilities)

• Financial Planning & Analysis : Lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes, delivering accurate and timely financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Develop financial models, evaluate business performance, and identify risks and opportunities to drive business results.

• Controllership & Transfer Pricing: Ensure compliance with Corporate and Transfer Pricing policies by leading the analysis and reconciliation of intercompany transactions. Oversee intercompany billing, credit note issuance, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while maintaining strong financial controls and data integrity.

• Statutory Reporting, Compliance & Audit: Lead the statutory financial close process in partnership with the external accounting firm, ensuring compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements. Coordinate external audit activities, serve as the primary contact for external auditors and advisors, and ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial documentation.

• Business Partnership & Reporting: Partner with Finance, Tax, Commercial, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support business decisions, and ensure consistent application of financial and Transfer Pricing policies. Deliver timely and accurate financial and management reporting to business leadership and key stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement & Analytics: Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process simplification, standardization, and automation. Develop KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reporting using Business Intelligence tools to enhance data quality, operational efficiency, and business decision-making.

• Special Projects: Support strategic initiatives and ad hoc business requirements by delivering meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations that contribute to business growth and transformation.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Similar

• 2-3 years of financial planning & analysis experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization knowledge.

• Proficient user of systems (i.e. SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion planning, Power BI, Cognos, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to summarize and present information in a concise and effective manner

• Advanced English

• Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality work

• Ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines and multi-task in deadline driven environment

• Good understanding of business processes and operations & financial controls, able to identify control weaknesses in existing process and recommend mitigation actions.
