Assurant is seeking a Financial Analyst to enhance operational and financial effectiveness through analysis and report preparation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis.

Formación

Job Purpose

Financial Analyst supports operational and financial effectiveness by analyzing results, preparing reports, and providing insightful explanations for quarter‑end earnings, forecasts, and plan deliverables.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities
  • Analyze monthly operating variances and summarize key business metrics, comparing actual results to forecasts and plans.
  • Develop and maintain reports to assess historical expense performance and project future outcomes for planning/forecast cycles.
  • Prepare and distribute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial, accounting, and data quality.
  • Utilize software tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and other databases to compile, manipulate, and format data.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in operational meetings to gather insights and support management in evaluating business decisions.
  • Apply critical thinking to challenge assumptions, identify root causes, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Assist operational teams in preparing and managing their budgets.
Required Experience, Skills, And Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Fluent English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong analytical, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
Preferred Experience, Skills, And Knowledge
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience working in a shared services or multi‑site operational environment.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and variance analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Work Environment

Environment/Physical Demands: This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone.
