The Senior Analyst serves as the reporting, analytics, and operational support subject matter expert for the Client Matter Management (CMM) portfolio. The role delivers reporting and analytics solutions, supports business operations, and analyzes business processes, contributes to solution enhancements, and provides functional expertise across Intake, Conflicts, Terms, AML, Time and related platforms.
Main responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted functional resource for the technology team, business users and provide guidance, troubleshooting and operational support.
- Partner with business stakeholders, process owners, product managers and leadership teams to analyze business processes and translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Lead reporting discovery, requirements workshops, dashboard design discussions and stakeholder walkthroughs for strategic and operational reporting initiatives.
- Design, develop, enhance and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, KPIs and executive reporting views that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Support production operations, incident management, root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Conduct business process analysis and identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate UAT, validation, deployment support and release readiness activities.
- Participate in release planning, testing, deployment validation and post implementation support.
- Provide end user support and coordinate escalations with technical teams and vendors.
- Monitor system health, adoption and support metrics and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Application Engineers, Developers, Database Administrators, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
- Contribute to CMM strategic initiatives, special projects and continuous improvement efforts where reporting, analytics and business insight are required.
Technical skills, qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, business intelligence or functional / application support.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, business processes and operational trends.
- Demonstrated experience engaging business stakeholders, gathering requirements and translating business needs into business solutions.
- Power BI experience, including dashboard and report development, data modelling, DAX, Power Query, visualization design and performance optimization preferred.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, analyzing datasets, validating report outputs and investigating data discrepancies.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting reporting governance, data quality analysis, report lifecycle management, validation, UAT and stakeholder sign-off.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services or enterprise data platforms preferred.
- Experience in legal, professional services, finance, risk, compliance or operational management environments preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build productive working relationships.
