Job summary

LeanTeams is seeking a Senior Video Editor to work remotely for North American universities. You will edit and optimize video content for ads, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns, collaborating with designers, copywriters, and strategists to deliver high-quality content across YouTube, social media, and paid media campaigns.

You will shape video strategies for a Latin American expansion and ensure seamless execution across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience (agency/marketing context preferred).
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Highly organized—able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills, with ability to work with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV).

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, ensuring correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with design and strategy teams to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and assets with structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets, accounting for review steps.
