Job summary

LeanTeams is seeking a Senior Video Editor for remote work with North American universities. You will edit and optimize video content for ads, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns, collaborating with designers, copywriters, and strategists to ensure high-quality output for YouTube, social media, and paid media campaigns.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience, agency or marketing setting.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or Davinci Resolve.
• Experience editing ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling with pacing and audience engagement.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Highly organized; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Fluent English communication; able to work with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations (text overlays, logo animations) to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, ensuring correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with creative teams—designers, copywriters, and strategists—to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and organize assets, ensuring structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before final delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to continuously improve video effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets, accounting for internal and client review steps.
