Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain automated data transformation pipelines. You will work within a multinational IT organization delivering services and solutions globally.

Successful candidates will have 5+ years in data engineering, strong ETL and cloud data stack experience, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights for analytics and ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience.
• +5 years in Data Engineer role.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DevOps/CI-CD, Python, Java, Ansible, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Git/ADO, Azure Data Lake, Analysis Services, Data Flows, and Kimball methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand business use of data and stakeholder requirements to support work processes and strategic objectives.
• Leverage data engineering, data science and analytics to create business value and enable data accessibility.
• Identify, acquire, cleanse, prepare, store data and develop data products aligned with architecture patterns.
• Responsible for normalizing and ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Enable data scientists by providing data for advanced analytics models and assisting with modeling.
• Collaborate with ML Engineers to scale and deploy solutions, including documentation and training.
• Contribute to internal tooling and deployment of technical services.
