Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is hiring a Data Engineer to design and maintain automated data pipelines using a variety of storage and compute technologies. The role supports data architecture and analytics initiatives across the organization.

Successful candidates will join a multifunction service and technical center with a global footprint, focusing on data acquisition, preparation and delivering data products for analytics and ML workloads.

Qualifications

• BS in CS, MIS, CE or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Data Engineer role.
• Experience with data acquisition, preparation, validation, movement and transformation.
• Knowledge of analytics solution architecture, big data, cloud computing, and information security.

Responsabilités

• Understand business use of data and stakeholder requirements.
• Leverage data, software engineering and data science techniques to create value through data accessibility.
• Identify, acquire, cleanse & prepare data and develop data products aligned with architecture patterns.
• Normalize and ingest data from multiple sources.
• Enable data scientists and contribute to ML deployment.
• Work with ML Engineer to scale and deploy solution and services.
• Contribute to inner source development of foundational tools.
