Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires is seeking a Data Engineer to join a multinational IT organization. You will deploy and maintain automated data transformation pipelines using a broad Azure/Databricks data stack, and partner with data scientists to enable advanced analytics across diverse data types.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and cloud skills, and a track record of building data products that scale.

Competenze

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• +5 years in Data Engineer role.
• Experience with data acquisition, preparation and validation; data movement and transformation; analytics solution architecture; big data computing; cloud computing.
• Knowledge of Azure data services and related tooling (ETL, data warehousing, collaboration).

• Understand business use of data and stakeholder requirements to support processes and strategic objectives.
• Leverage data, software engineering, and data science techniques to create business value through data accessibility (ingestion, prep, analytics).
• Identify, acquire, cleanse & prepare, store data and develop data products aligned with architecture patterns.
• Normalize and ingest data from multiple sources.
• Enable data scientists by making data available for advanced analytics models, and contribute to models.
• Work with ML Engineer to scale and deploy solutions including models, documentation, and training.
• Contribute to inner source development of foundational tools and deployment of technical services.
