Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on engineering experience with Hardware Security Modules and highly available infrastructure.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, and secure room operations and key ceremonies.
• Proficient Linux/Unix administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with OpenSSL and certificate-based authentication.
• Ability to validate AI-assisted security outputs and review AI-driven code.
• Strong documentation and security controls aligned with policy and audits.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture, design, and documentation of HSM and cryptographic infrastructure.
• Design and implement HSM solutions across Thales and FutureX platforms.
• Develop architectural diagrams, runbooks, and system docs for operations.
• Collaborate to define infrastructure standards and security controls.
• Oversee migration, upgrades, and consolidation of HSM infrastructure with minimal disruption.
• Guide cryptographic key management, confidential computing, and compliance with PCI-DSS and FIPS.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and HSM issues with root cause analysis and monitoring tools.
• Participate in risk assessments, audits, and incident response activities.
• Apply domain knowledge of payments and resiliency to infrastructure decisions.
• Use AI capabilities to accelerate threat modeling and security documentation with care for data sensitivity.
• Ensure AI-assisted code/security recommendations are vetted before adoption.
