Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Sr Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure supporting critical payment and cryptographic operations.

You will leverage deep HSM expertise and work with Thales and FutureX platforms to protect sensitive systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will define standards, drive security controls, and support business continuity in complex environments, including AI-assisted threat modeling and secure code

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• Experience with Hardware Security Modules and designing highly available infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in documenting infrastructure architectures using industry-standard tools.
• Experience with Terraform for managing and scaling secure environments.
• Hands-on experience with OpenSSL and certificate-based authentication.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and document Hardware Security Module and cryptographic infrastructure, ensuring alignment with resiliency and security requirements.
• Design and implement HSM solutions across Thales and FutureX platforms.
• Develop architectural diagrams, system documentation, and runbooks for operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure standards, security controls, and policy alignment.
• Oversee migration, upgrade, and consolidation of HSM infrastructure with minimal disruption and maximum security.
• Provide guidance on cryptographic key management, secure storage, and confidential computing.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and HSM-related issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in risk assessments, audits, and incident response activities related to infrastructure and HSM environments.
• Apply domain knowledge of payment processes and resiliency to infrastructure design and decision-making.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate threat modeling and security documentation, ensuring data handling integrity.
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted SDLC practices to strengthen security testing and control validation.
