Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive delivery across our cybersecurity product portfolio. You will lead cross-functional programs spanning Engineering, Product, Threat Research, and Operations, ensuring alignment, dependency management, and on-time shipping to protect millions of users.

You will engage senior leaders with strategic updates, balance long-term goals with day-to-day execution, and mentor other program managers to build a high‑performing team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of program management experience in a software or product engineering org.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and technical delivery.
• Experience at scale with multiple Agile teams and cross-team coordination.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across engineering, product, and leadership.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence; dashboards and program metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program delivery across cloud and appliance-based product lines.
• Coordinate across Engineering, Product, Threat Research, Operations, and Support.
• Align sprints, dependencies, and program delivery rhythm across teams.
• Provide clear, strategic updates for senior leadership.
• Lead planning and delivery for multiple programs simultaneously.
• Manage blockers, dependencies, and risk; keep programs on track.
• Engage with executive sponsors and ensure visibility into status and risks.
• Assess scope changes and priorities; align teams on path forward.
• Mentor junior program managers and contribute to a high-performing team.
