Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive delivery across our cybersecurity product portfolio. You’ll lead cross-functional programs spanning Engineering, Product, Threat Research, and Operations—ensuring teams stay aligned and critical products ship on time to protect millions of users worldwide.

You will coordinate across multiple Agile teams, manage dependencies, and provide clear updates to executives while mentoring program managers and building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of program management experience in a software or product engineering org.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and ability to engage with engineering teams on delivery.
• Experience working with multiple Agile teams at scale - familiar with scaled Agile frameworks and Scrum of Scrums.
• Strong influencing and relationship-building across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
• Excellent communication skills - able to present complex information clearly to all levels.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence; proficient with dashboards and program metrics.
• Able to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities with a clear head and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own product delivery across the full SDLC for cloud and appliance product lines.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Product, Threat Research, Operations, and Customer Support on programs spanning teams and timelines.
• Coordinate across multiple Agile teams using scaled Agile practices including aligning sprints and dependencies.
• Turn program complexity into clear, strategic updates for senior leadership.
• Lead end-to-end delivery for multiple programs simultaneously, balancing long-term goals with day-to-day execution.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, surface blockers early, and drive timely decisions to keep programs on track.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, providing visibility into status and risks.
• Evaluate scope changes and shifting priorities, communicating impact clearly to teams.
• Build and maintain proactive risk management practices across all programs.
• Mentor intermediate program managers and contribute to building a high-performing team.
