GoFundMe is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Buenos Aires to design and deploy cutting‑edge ML solutions powering search, recommendations, and personalization. You will build scalable, low‑latency services, collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams, and advance catalogs, taxonomies, and graph‑based features.

The role emphasizes robust pipelines, monitoring, and operational excellence, with in‑office requirements 3x per week in Buenos Aires.

Formación

• 4+ years hands-on ML engineering, data science, or related field with production deployments.
• Experience with search/retrieval, ranking, and personalization systems a plus.
• Design, develop, deploy end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines and monitoring.
• Working knowledge of catalogs, taxonomies, entity resolution, embeddings, semantic representations.
• Familiarity with graphs/knowledge graphs to support retrieval and recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement ML systems across personalization, recommendations, and content understanding.
• Develop taxonomy ontologies and content understanding to improve discovery and ranking.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and eng teams to evolve catalogs and entities.
• Apply graph-based techniques and graph ML to boost retrieval and personalization.
• Build robust, scalable, low-latency services with reliable monitoring.
• Lead initiatives to optimize ML performance using offline/online metrics.
• Standardize ML workflows and drive operational excellence across projects.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Explore toolchain including Python, AWS, Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI, Terraform, Snowflake, GitHub.
