GoFundMe is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Buenos Aires to design and implement scalable ML systems powering search, recommendations, and personalization. You will work with a skilled team to deliver high-impact solutions, collaborating with product managers and cross-functional partners.

The role requires 4+ years in ML engineering, experience with end-to-end ML pipelines, and strong Python/AWS skills.

Formación

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, applied ML engineering, data science, or related fields.
• Experience with search/recommendation/personalization systems and end-to-end ML pipelines.
• Ability to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, serving, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with catalogs, taxonomies, entity resolution, embeddings, and semantic representations to improve retrieval and recommendations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement AI/ML systems across personalization, recommendations, content understanding, fraud detection, and real-time services.
• Develop taxonomy, ontology, and tagging systems to power discovery and recommendations.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to evolve catalogs and entity understanding.
• Apply graph-based techniques and graph databases to enhance retrieval and personalization.
• Build robust, scalable, low-latency services with a focus on reliability and observability.
• Lead efforts to optimize ML system performance using offline and online metrics.
• Contribute to standardized ML workflows and best practices across projects.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to foster a collaborative culture.
• Utilize Python, AWS, Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI, Terraform, Snowflake, and GitHub to deploy production-grade ML solutions.
