GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy ML systems powering search, recommendations, and personalization. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable, low-latency solutions leveraging Python, AWS, Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

This role requires 4+ years of hands-on ML experience and a strong production focus.

Formación

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, data science, or related fields with production-ready solutions.
• Experience with search/retrieval, recommendations, or personalization systems is highly desired.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines and monitoring.
• Familiarity with catalogs, taxonomies, embeddings, or semantic representations to improve retrieval quality.
• Knowledge of graph databases/graphs to support retrieval and personalization use cases.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement AI/ML systems across personalization, recommendations, content understanding, fraud detection, and more.
• Develop taxonomy/ontology structures for discovery and signals powering recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve catalogs, taxonomies, and entity understanding.
• Apply graph-based techniques to enhance retrieval and content understanding.
• Develop robust, fault-tolerant services with focus on reliability and low-latency performance.
• Lead initiatives to optimize ML system performance using offline/online metrics.
