Placements24 seeks a seasoned Mine Operations Manager to oversee major mining operations near Sandton, Gauteng. The role drives safety, productivity, and cost-effectiveness through a high-performance leadership team across engineers, geologists and operators.

The candidate will manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and report to senior management on performance. A strategic, results-driven leader with a track record in open-pit/underground mining is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline required.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus for strategic leadership.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mine operations management with open-pit/underground exposure.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and manage all mine production planning, scheduling and execution.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental regulations and company policies.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, control costs, maximize output.
• Lead, mentor and develop the mine operations workforce to high performance.
• Oversee maintenance and utilization of mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with geology, engineering and maintenance to optimize operations.
• Report on performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
