EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Server-side Engineer to develop and enhance a Backend-for-Frontend service layer that powers high-traffic mobile experiences for clients worldwide. You will collaborate with engineers, product partners, designers, and QA to deliver dependable APIs and high-quality code.

Responsibilities include architecting BFF APIs, building REST endpoints, and improving performance while reworking legacy code for maintainability.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of server-side Java development experience.
• Spring Boot expertise for building and maintaining services.
• Proficiency in REST API development and integration with legacy services.
• Strong problem solving and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in English (B2 or higher).

Responsabilidades

• Architect and develop Backend-for-Frontend API layer for mobile experiences.
• Build REST endpoints and service contracts for mobile journeys.
• Profile and optimize service performance.
• Refactor legacy code for maintainability and reliability.
• Produce clean, testable code with strong unit test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features.
• Support CI workflows and build tooling to keep delivery running smoothly.
• Design APIs with thoughtful data modeling and UX considerations.
