Job summary
Clean Harbors is seeking a Senior I&E Control Engineer to lead control systems across critical facilities. You will drive safety, reliability, and performance for DCS, PLC, SIS, HMI, and related infrastructure while coordinating with site I&E teams and operations.
The role requires extensive ABB 800xA experience, strong process-control skills, and a proactive approach to lifecycle management, cybersecurity, and documentation. On-site at Deer Park, TX with travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/controls or related engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of control system experience in process industries.
- Hands-on ABB 800xA and INFI 90/Symphony experience.
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs, loop drawings, control narratives.
- Willingness to travel ~25%.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety, environmental compliance, and MOC for automation changes.
- Own reliability and performance of DCS/PLC/SIS and related infra.
- Monitor system health and implement preventive maintenance.
- Develop and optimize control strategies and interlocks.
- Provide technical leadership and on-call support.
