Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring performance, security, and reliability while collaborating with engineering and data science teams.

We value distributed architecture expertise and hands-on ownership. Strong communication and ability to learn on the fly are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including service mesh technologies such as Istio/Linkerd/Cilium.
• 1+ year building architectural components like service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, etc.
• 6+ months experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
