Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, collaborating with data science and software teams to keep systems reliable, secure, and performant.

You will own platform services, monitor performance, manage cloud resources, and apply AI-native tooling and service mesh capabilities to improve development efficiency. Remote work options available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year AWS and Kubernetes, including service mesh technologies like Istio/Linkerd/Cilium.
• 1+ year building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, etc).
• 6+ months experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork or similar.
• Excellent communication, fast learner, and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services to support growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance; identify bottlenecks.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries; ensure security and reliability.
• Implement best practices to optimize development processes and efficiency.
• Communicate status, risks, and issues with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
